Welsh rugby has experienced many highs and lows, producing great players such as Gareth Edwards, Shane Williams (World player of the year 2008) and Sam Warbuton. They were the first team to ever win the Grand Slam in the Five Nations tournament (now Six nations), however are yet to win a Rugby World cup, unable to get past the Semi Final stage (Most recently in New Zealand 2011).

From 1884, the Cardiff Arms Park was the home of the Welsh team, housing more that 60,000 fans. It's retractable roof, often the centre of controversy, can enchance the atmosphere beyond belief. Watch the video below for the national anthem being performed at the Cardiff Arms Park.

Speaking of the national anthem "Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau" (Translates to Land of My Fathers) was written in 1856, composed by Evan James. It was also the first national anthem to ever be sung before a sporting event.
